Description of Scientific Projects

Dr. Dai obtained his PhD in Atmospheric Science from Columbia Univ/NASA GISS in 1996. He was a NOAA Climate & Global Change postdoc from 1997-1998, and worked at NCAR until 2012 summer on various climate related issues, with a focus on large-scale to global problems and the hydrological cycle, such as historical and model-simulated changes in precipitation, clouds, water vapor, evaporation, streamflow, and soil moisture. Dr. Dai has extensive experiences in climate data analysis and climate model diagnostics. As of September 2012, Dr. Dai has published 80+ peer-reviewed journal aritcles, which have been cited over 4500 times with an H-index of 35 based on ISI Web of Science.
