Description of Scientific Projects

At COAPS, we can concentrate on interannual and interdecadal climate change. We have an excellent coupled Ocean- ATM climate model. We also have adequate computer time for the postdoc to use since FSU will be by next summer the top university in the world with computational power. The postdoc will work with Dr. O’Brien on either coupled models, diagnostic analysis of ocean models or impacts of ENSO, NAO or PDO on North America. Postdocs are encouraged to work 50% of the time on their own ideas or research. COAPS has more than 20 PhDs and Graduate students to interact with as well as faculty in Oceanography, Meteorology, Math, etc. Current as of 10/23/2002
